May was quite the eventful month, and I’m not just talking about the fact that the first three days were filled with screenings for the TCM Classic Film Festival! Along with TCMFF, I attended a few red carpet premieres throughout the month, including for Backrooms and Obsession. I also went to a triple feature of the Three Colors trilogy, which included a Q&A with Julie Delpy. Outside of the movies but still very much connected to them, I ended the month at the Academy Museum for its new exhibit honoring Marilyn Monroe on the occasion of her centennial, which just so happens to be today! I definitely plan on watching a few of her movies in June to continue the celebration, but before moving on, here’s a glance at all the films I watched in May…
