I went to a lot of cool screenings in March, with my favorite being The Thing at the Academy Museum, which was preceded by a Q&A with John Carpenter and Bong Joon Ho. I also spent much of the past two weekends at the Egyptian Theatre for this year’s edition of the Noir City Film Festival in Hollywood. Alongside the classic film noir, there were a few neo-noir screenings with special guests, including The Grifters with Annette Bening and Bound with Jennifer Tilly. It’s a great way to sort of pre-game for the TCM Classic Film Festival coming up in just a few weeks! Right now I’m very much anticipating what the schedule will look like, which should be coming out very soon… but until then, here’s everything I watched over the past month.
