This past month marked three years since I moved to Los Angeles, and since then I’ve really taken in the movie theater scene here more and more, from repertory screenings to new releases, both of which include special guests a lot of the time! I’m grateful for all the opportunities I’ve had to see so many movies on the big screen — the good, the bad, and the ugly (including that classic Sergio Leone film itself this past year, which obviously falls under the “good” category). In 2024, I watched nearly 300 movies in theaters, which is more than I watched at home! So I’m looking forward to what’s to come movie-wise in the new year, no matter where I’m watching them.
