Again, I didn’t meet up to my usual 30+ new-to-films standard this month (as has been the trend so far this year), but I did watch 22 films total. I ended up watching more favorites than unseen films over my spring break, but it’s always nice revisiting films, especially ones that I haven’t seen in a while. April is usually my busiest month as a university student, so it’ll be a miracle if I manage 15 new-to-me films like I did this past month. Anyway, let’s take a look at my March in movies!

A Few Favorite Discoveries:
Unfortunately, I’m keeping it rather brief this month as I’ve been too busy to prepare a lengthier post. So I’ll only be highlighting two films that really stood out to me (one of which I already talked about for the Blind Spots series…).
I posted my third entry for my 2015 Blind Spots series over the weekend on Cinema Paradiso, and it was definitely a film that stood out to me in March. My thoughts on the film can be found here.
Whenever I read anything about this movie, there’s almost always a mention of Alfred Hitchcock’s The Lady Vanishes, and after watching it I can see why. Both films follow a similar theme, were written by Sidney Gilliat and Frank Launder, starred Margaret Lockwood, and featured Basil Radford and Naunton Wayne respectively playing two cricket-obsessed characters named Charters and Caldicott. So I’d definitely say if you loved The Lady Vanishes as I did, this is worth checking out. The film also boasts some fantastic performances from Paul Henreid and Rex Harrison.
I’ve seen both of your ‘Favorite Discoveries’, and loved ’em both. ‘The Verdict’ is one of my favorites, too…what did you think of that one?
