October was an incredibly busy month of entertainment for me. That’s primarily because I took a trip to New York City, wherein I attended the closing weekend of the New York Film Festival (my first time back at the fest in four years!), as well as a couple of other screenings around town. Before my trip, there was the last week of Beyond Fest, then just a few days after I returned home, it was AFI Fest. So I ended up going to screenings at three different film festivals, all in one month! Outside of the films, I also went to three Broadway shows, one just last night in Hollywood, and the other two I saw while in NYC. That included the true highlight of October (and perhaps maybe even the whole year), which was seeing Jonathan Groff in Just in Time! Truly just about had the time of my life watching him up close and sharing some eye contact with him as he sang! Anyway, this is my favorite time of year for movie-watching, and I’m ready to check out some more new releases and dive into some film noir for Noirvember.
